Staff

The Digital Literature Review is edited, produced, and published by undergraduate students in the English Department at Ball State University. The staff is divided into three teams: Editorial, Publicity, and Design. Please direct all contact to dlr@bsu.edu.


 

Dr. Adam R. Beach is Professor of English and Interim Dean of the Graduate School at Ball State University. Along with many published articles on nationalism, slavery, and colonialism, he has co-edited with Srividhya Swaminathan the collection of essays Invoking Slavery in the Eighteenth-Century British Imagination (2013).  This is his third time directing the Digital Literature Review project.

Nick enjoys the DLR because it simultaneously allows him to to fantasize about the end of the world while also allowing him to think and write critically about some of his favorite things such as The Twilight Zone, Black Mirror, and zombie films.

Megan enjoys the DLR because of the opportunity it gives her to gain real world experience with editing and all the tasks that editing entails. Since Megan plans to pursue a career in editing and publishing, the DLR provides a wonderful chance for her to become for competent and experienced in her future field.

Bethany enjoys the DLR because she gets to explore important ideas relevant to post-apocalyptic literature and our world today. She also appreciates the chance to try new things and do work she might not have otherwise had the opportunity to do.

Kaytlyn intends to edit for a publishing company in the future, and the DLR provides an excellent opportunity to hone the skills necessary for that field.

Publicity

Tynan Drake 

Team Leader

Creative Writing Major

Tynan enjoys the DLR because it has provided the opportunity to explore his favorite genre (post-apocalypse) from an academic perspective. He hopes to use his experiences with the DLR Publicity Team to make a career in planning and promoting events such as conventions and workshops in various communities. Tynan is currently working on writing his own post-apocalyptic novels and hopes to one day be published.
